Local to Donate $2 to Leukemia Research for Every “Sacco” Brewed

SPOONER, WIS.-- Victor Sacco (Twitter, Facebook), of Edina Realty in Spooner, Wisconsin, has teamed up with The Dock Coffee (Facebook) to help raise money for the Leukemia Lymphoma Society (LLS).

Through Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2017, when patrons of The Dock Coffee purchase the “Sacco” coffee drink ($2.50), Vic will donate $2 to the LLS.

The “Sacco,” Vic explained, is a “Double Espresso with skim milk, frothed on top, simple but strong.” Why so strong? “I’m Italian. I like it strong,” he said.

Vic has been a regular at The Dock since its opening in April 2015, and because of his consistent caffeination, baristas have named his usual order after him. He wants to continue to support this local business as he is also a local businessperson. It’s a win-win situation if he can do that and also help out and support the LLS.

Vic not only loves The Dock Coffee but is an energetic supporter of the business. “The Dock is a great place to visit and meet others, because it has a comfortable atmosphere,” Vic said. “The owners and the staff are very pleasant, and I think they represent Northwest Wisconsin very well -- tourists, locals, lake-home owners in the area -- they all see this business as a great amenity for our area. I want to support folks who have invested in our community and especially the ones that will name something after me!”

The relationship Vic has with The Dock aside, Vic has a personal connection to LLS. “My brother had Stage 4 Mantle Cell Lymphoma in 2001,” said Vic. “Through the fundraising efforts of LLS to support research and clinical trials, my brother has been cancer free for 12 years!”

So, stop by The Dock Coffee, located at 218 Walnut St. in Spooner, and grab a “Sacco” while it’s hot, or if you can’t make it to The Dock before Tuesday, Vic stated that making a donation is another way to help the cause to fight Leukemia. Those wishing to give can do so via Vic’s Facebook page (or by clicking the image below).

“There is a ‘Donate’ button attached to my post,” said Vic. “Not only can you donate to the LLS directly from that button, this will also show the total amount donated and which of your Facebook friends have also donated.”

Great coffee, great guy, great cause.
